The Baxter Innovation Lab is a state-of-the-art prototyping and design center equipped with high tech tools ranging from 3D Printers and Vinyl Cutters to Industrial Grade CNC Machines and Laser Cutters. The innovation lab provides students with the resources to fabricate and test any idea, expose them to unbounded opportunities to fully exercise their imagination, and expand on student creativity through innovative curriculum and real-world design.
Embodied in Lindblom’s Computer Science and Engineering curriculum as well as its after school clubs such as FIRST Robotics, students develop and foster a culture of communication, collaboration, and innovation though team based problem solving. This unique environment, modeled after some of the most cutting-edge product development labs in industry, is helping build the products of tomorrow while shaping Lindblom students become the innovators of the future.

This is the room where it all started, back when team 1781 was first founded in 2006. Here we also create custom parts with various machines, most notably the Omtech Laser Cutter(used by Lindblom's engineering students and FIRST robotics teams).
Engineering Room
Engineering Room
Lindblom's engineering room is where students learn their first skills as engineers. Here students learn to build their CAD, CAM, prototyping, and drafting skills. This is also the room where we hold our daily FRC meetings.
